My husband, Tom is Manager, cake artist, and pastry chef.
It Takes The Cake℠ (to make the party complete)℠ offers Elegant Custom Wedding Cakes, edible art cakes, carved 3-D cakes like purses & cars & topsy turvy cakes, custom-decorated tiered and single cakes, as well as cupcakes by the dozen when along with a cake order; cookies; and we also offer handmade chocolates.
We offer both buttercream iced and fondant covered cakes.
Buttercream iced cakes start at $6.00 per serving, and
Fondant covered cakes with BC icing under the fondant starts at $7.00 per serving.
Carved cakes start at $300.
Cupcakes start at $7 each, with a simple buttercream swirl on top; minimum 1 dozen with a cake order.
Handmade sugar items like high heels are one of our favorites, but remember to order early; these take a lot of time to make.
Cocoa Bombs: During Thanksgiving, Christmas, and leading to Valentines, we offer Cocoa Bombs at $10 each, minimum 4. We also offer Coffee Mocha Chocolate Bombs.
COOKIES: Fondant-decorated cookies. These have BC icing or chocolate under the very thin fondant. (Our fondant comes from Switzerland, and is actually very good! Not at all like American fondant!)
***We offer flooded cookie decoration as we can accommodate, but we are not always able to supply flooded-type decorated cookies.
You may also order regular un-decorated cookies like choc chip, sugar, and chocolate covered Oreos as party favors.
Please note, if Retainer has not been made, you do not yet have an Order with us.
Sometimes we can take a last minute order; these orders must be paid in full at time of placing order if event date is on or within the two weeks timeframe before your event.
Tastings
We schedule and bake especially for each Tasting.
For an upfront Tasting with no commitment, a Tasting is one-time $25 for two people, using three regular cake flavors at two cupcakes per flavor. If expensive or unusual ingredients are used per your request, such as alcohol, it will be an additional cost and not credited back toward your cake order. Once your cake is Booked the tasting fee (minus extra expenses for things like alcohol or expensive chocolate) is credited back towards your cake order. Or if your cake is already Booked, there is no charge for the regular-cake-flavor one-timeTasting, for cakes over $300.
IF you should want additional tasting flavors after your one-time Tasting, then they become purchases at $6 a cupcake, minimum of two cupcakes per flavor.
We almost always do "To-Go" Tastings. This just means we drop the Tasting off to you and you enjoy it with your family under no pressure. However, please let us know if you are requesting a formal one-on-one, sit-down-together time with us for your Tasting.
Gender Reveal Cakes Make the discovery of your baby's gender fun with a Gender Reveal Party. Have the receptionist call us and tell us your baby's gender, then later at YOUR PARTY cut the cake with your friends & family. The outside of your cake will be decorated with something
cute, but not revealing. The inside of the cake OR the filling
will be pink or blue, and of course, in your favorite cake flavor!
HONEYMOON TAKE-AWAY BASKET

Grab this wonderful basket as you're leaving for your honeymoon. Then, relax later with your honey and enjoy your wedding cake & a few extras.
"Simple" Basket:
Choose a basic basket with 2 cupcakes and 2 sodas, juices, or waters, and Hershey's Kisses, Oreos, or other simple sweet per your choice, for $35.
"Silver" Basket:
A sweet basket all tied up with your wedding color ribbon(s) and filled with 4 cupcakes in your wedding cake flavor(s), 2 sodas or juices of your choice, and 4 decadent specialty chocolates (you may request): $60
"Platinum" Basket:
A beautiful basket all tied up with your wedding color ribbon(s) and filled with 4- 6 cupcakes in your wedding cake flavor(s), 2 champagne splits (Asti Spumanti) or sparkling juices, or sodas of your choice, and 4 decadent specialty chocolates (you may request). -- YOU specify and we'll make your Honeymoon Take-Away Basket custom just for you! Usually $75.

Maple, Nutella, coconut, peanut butter cup, caramel, peppermint patties, coffee/espresso, chocolate with orange, chocolate covered Oreos, vanilla, orange, coconut
Starting at $2 each.
Fondant-decorated cookies!

Starting at $40 a doz for small, not detailed and going up from there; minimum 2 doz
CupCake or Cookie Decorating Parties at your location.
